Sweet Lily

Feels so good to be scrapping again.  I played along with this sketch from Paper Secrets and had to use the letters from the word swim on my layout.
S- So Noted line by Carta Bella, Stickers by Heidi Swapp, SVG files
W - Wood Hearts by Studio Calico
I - ink from Tim Holtz Distressed Ink, Gathered Twigs
M - Metal Clips from my personal stash

This is Lily and she is the first dog that my son has ever had and it was love at first sight.  He is almost 23 years old and his fiance has had many dogs in her life so far.  Vanessa really wanted a dog and easy going Sean said okay.  This dog adores my son and follows him everywhere.  She is a cuddler which is exactly how I would describe Sean.  Sean loves the movie Up, having been an Eagle Scout and he gives life to Lily's thoughts by talking like the dog in Up.  The photo on the right is of her while he was waxing his car.  His words for Lily were, "Let's go for a ride, I will drive!!"
The SVG files that I used came from Juliana Michaels brand new Etsy store called 17 Turtles and it is amazing.  You just have to check it out.  She is fabulously talented and I am so excited to support her.
Hugs,

Family Joy

Here is my layout for the current Creative Scrappers sketch using files from The Cut Shoppe, owned by my friend Ashley Horton.  These files are so fun.  Be sure to check out the challenge and play along.

Gettysburg

Alert the presses, I scrapped a layout.  It has been so long.  My husband was in his glory when we recently visited Gettysburg while on vacation in PA.  I made this using Creative Scrappers Sketch and for the Paper Issues Admit One  My ticket is tucked up under the title.  I used almost exclusively Fancy Pants products as they are sponsoring the Paper Issues challenge.  Hope you have a chance to play along with both of these challenges.

Thanks a Bunch SRM Challenge

We had a wonderful weekend two weeks ago at a family reunion and I made this card to thank our host and hostess for such a fabulous time.  I was inspired by the color and sketch challenge, which I flipped on it's side.  I love playing with SRM Stickers.  So much fun.  You can play along with this month's challenge here.
